Ecoteer-Volunteer-Abroad-Sweepstakes

Do It While You’re Young is partnering with Ecoteer to offer you a chance to win a trip to volunteer abroad in Malaysia.

Not just anywhere in Malaysia.

The Perhentian Islands in Malaysia.

You won’t be lounging around in a hammock on a beach on The Perhentian Islands though (well, there might be some of that).

You’re going to be working.

You’ll protect nesting Green Sea Turtles. You’ll learn how to SCUBA. And you’ll teach english and environmental awareness to local children.

The sweepstakes launches October 4.

Until then, here’s what you need to do.

Spread the word by clicking the image above and pinning it.

Then, stay tuned for more updates. We’ll have testimonials, videos, and an official launch announcement.

If you haven’t already done so, subscribe to our email newsletter to get the announcement delivered straight to your email inbox.

Aloha Hawaii

Aloha Hawaii!

These islands are a water-lover’s paradise. From kayaking to surfing to kiteboarding to snorkeling to scuba diving to fishing, it’s hard to run out of activities involving H2O.

Two of our favorite kayaking trips in Hawaii:

Lanikai Kayaking To The Twin Islands – Oahu.

Paddling to offshore islets is popular on Oahu. The most well known of these destinations are the pyramid-shaped Mokulua islets off Lanikai Beach. The twin islets have small beaches on the leeward shores—a white sand beach on the larger island and a pebble beach on the smaller one. The setting is one of the most beautiful in all Hawaii.

Kayaking Kealakekua Bay – Big Island

Kealakekua Bay on the Big island’s Kona side is a favorite kayaking spot. Paddle about a mile straight across the bay to the Captain Cook monument. Dolphins are often seen in the bay.

Do It While You’re Young has featured Hawaii in a number of articles. Check these out when planning your next trip to Hawaii, Maui, or any of the other islands:

And just in case you can’t make it to Hawaii for a holiday but want to get your feet wet surfing, you can surf in New York City. Really.

Barafundle Bay is a sandy beach in Pembrokeshire, Wales, near Stackpole Quay and is part of the Stackpole Estate. The beach, as the whole Stackpole Estate, used to be owned by the Cawdor family of Stackpole Court and was their private beach.

Must be a rough life, huh?

In 2004, Barafundle Bay was included in a list of the Top 12 beaches in the world. The Good Holiday Guide also said that it was the ‘best beach in Britain’. In 2006, it was voted the best place in the United Kingdom for a picnic by Country Life magazine

Okinawa Nights

okinawa sights travel photography

Japan is not all about Tokyo and ramen. It has so much more to offer especially in its island prefectures like Okinawa.

Visiting Okinawa means marveling at the beautiful islands made of corals and other natural Okinawa sights. In fact, it has one of the most beautiful reefs in the world and is home to thousands of unique flora and fauna.

Make sure to include Okinawa on your list of places to visit in Asia.
